Kalakand is an Indian sweet with its origins in Alwar, Rajasthan. It is one of the most popular sweets made by solidifying milk and paneer. Plus, it is extremely easy to make!
Kalakand is light on the sweetness score and just melts in the mouth!
So I have tried to recreate this delight today, on the festive occasion of Makar Sankranti!
Hope you enjoy making it as much as I did!

Makes 750g
500g paneer
400g condensed milk
20g milk powder
1 tsp green cardamom powder

Step 1: Grate the paneer in a large bowl. Mix it with milk powder.
Step 2: Pour the condensed milk into this bowl. Mix well.
Step 3: Transfer this mixture to a large non-stick pan/karahi. Put it on the flame and keep stirring for 8-10 minutes to get a thick dense mixture.
Step 4: Remove from the flame and spread onto a greased tray. Allow it to cool.
Step 5: Sprinkle some green cardamom powder and slice them into small pieces. Serve at room temperature!
